Mrs. White's Public Speaking students engaged in a Lincoln-Douglas debate on their final day in class. Both teams prepared by researching the resolution "State legislators ought to determine school policies rather than local boards of education."- based on the topic of HB 2299, the "bell-to-bell" cell phone ban. Both teams brought their best evidence and argument to the judges. Thank you to Mrs. Flinn for attending class yesterday to engage in a conversation about the bill and how it affects school districts. Also, thank you to Mr. Wolting and Mrs. Weidenhaft for volunteering to judge as well as Ethney S., public speaking student. Both teams did an exceptional job!!

This morning at Lincoln Elementary, Mrs. Babcock was recognized for her years of service at Lincoln USD 298. This is Mrs. Babcock's last full week at LES as she plans to retire at the end of this school year. We are thankful for the 28 years Mrs. Babcock dedicated to our school and community. Students wrote Mrs. Babcock some wonderful retirement advice to hang in the hallways for her to read this week. Happy Retirement!
