Bullying Prevention Month

By joint resolution, the Kansas State Senate and the Kansas State Board of Education declared the first full week of October as Kansas Anti-Bullying Awareness Week. October is also National Bullying Prevention Month.  KSDE is encouraging everyone to wear pink on Tuesday, October 3rd to raise awareness and address the harm that bullying creates.

At Lincoln Elementary students are encouraged to support Anti-Bullying Awareness Week by dressing up on these special dates: Monday, October 2nd – Inside Out Day. Wear clothing inside out to represent that words hurt more on the inside than they don on the outside. Wednesday, October 4th – Mismatch Day. Wear mismatched clothing to express that we are all different and should appreciate our differences. Friday, October 6th – “Blue Out” Day. Blue is the theme color supporting a safe and bully free school. Wear blue to stand up for friends and others.
