Job Olympics, held in Manhattan, takes place once a year. Students compete in different job-related tasks, helping them prepare for jobs in the Future. Lincoln Jr./Sr. High School students brought home 17 medals this year!

KAY Club hosted their 9th Annual Easter Egg Hunt for LES students today. All students had a great time, and the Easter Bunny even took part in the fun! Thank you to Citizens State Bank and Trust for helping sponsor the event again this year.

USD 298 Parents/Guardians/Staff - Important calendar changes. The half day on March 20th has now been moved to March 21st. School will be all day on March 20th and school will dismiss at noon on March 21st so LHS can host the NPL powerlifting meet. Also, there will now be no school on April 29th for staff appreciation. Please make note of these calendar changes. If you have any questions, please call your students school office.

U.S.D. 298 Lincoln is pleased to announce the hiring of Mrs. Stefanie Couch as the Lincoln Jr./Sr. High School Principal effective July 15, 2024. Mrs. Couch will be stepping in to that position vacated by Mrs. Nikki Flinn, who will start as U.S.D. 298 Superintendent on July 1, 2024. Mrs. Couch graduated high school from St. George, Kansas, before beginning her college studies at Kansas State University obtaining an accounting degree. While being a substitute teacher, para and coach at U.S.D. 480 at Liberal, Kansas, she completed her elementary education licensure from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Goodwell, Oklahoma. During her tenure at U.S.D. 483, Kismet, Mrs. Couch taught 7th and 8th grade English and PE, along with coaching and being assistant athletic director. At Kismet she returned to college to obtain her ESOL endorsement, fostering a difference for students as they increased reading scores. After completing her Master’s Degree in Building Leadership through Newman University, Wichita, Kansas, she started her building principalship experience at U.S.D. 459, Bucklin Schools where she has been for 7 years. In her building leadership position she developed positive relationships with students and staff, and the local community. As the 6-12 Athletic Director at Bucklin Schools for 7 years Mrs. Couch has organized not only the athletic activities but academic activities. Nikki Flinn, incoming Superintendent of Schools, added that, “Mrs. Couch’s strong organizational skills and communications abilities are valuable assets for our school and community. We are looking forward to the great leadership she will bring to our school”. Welcome to U.S.D. 298, Mrs. Couch!
