Basic services include: medical, information and referral, food, transportation, shelter, and other general resources. The purpose of this information is to help low income Kansans who are having to make choices between food, rent, utilities, etc. and client obligation, spenddown, medical expenses, and health insurance premiums. Today we celebrate our Lunch Heroes – Aliesha, Ginny, Janice, Jacque, and Rachelle! This year our cooks have prepared over 54,000 meals for our students so between preparing healthy food, making sure to follow strict nutrition standards and ensuring that students stay safe, our school cooks have a lot on their plate. USDA recently released information on the Pandemic-EBT program designed to provide cash benefits on an EBT card to be used to purchase food. For USD 298 families, if your student qualified for Free or Reduced Priced meals during school year 2020-2021, you will be eligible to receive summer P-EBT benefits. If you are not sure of your status, or have questions regarding this program, please contact Norma Kobbeman at the School Board Office at (785) 524-4436.
