In response to the recent tragedy affecting our school community, there will be a counseling team for emotional support available today, Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Lincoln Jr/Sr High School for all students and staff from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

Lincoln Leopards will host the Ellsworth Bearcats Friday, February 19 with JV girls kicking off the games at 4 pm. Lincoln will celebrate Senior Night with Girls BB seniors (approximately) 5:45 - following the girls JV Game; and Boys BB, Cheer, Wrestling Seniors (approximately 7:30). 4 spectators per athlete/ticket needed. LES Parents/Guardians: In your child's backpack is a green letter explaining important changes to USD 298 temperature check procedures which affect morning drop off at LES. Lincoln High School welding students completed the picnic table for the Carolyn Farris memorial. We were approached early in the school year about this project and after some discussion, several of the seniors were more than happy to put their skills to use for such a worthy cause. The finishing touch to this table was to utilize our new PlasmaCam system, which was purchased with the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education grant, to cut out the Old English L for the table top. These seniors did a fantastic job with their metal fabrication, welding and programming skills while serving their community in an admirable fashion. Job well done! WE MADE IT! Here at LES, we reached our school-wide goal of completing 500 acts of kindness during the month of January. Not only did we meet our goal, but LES students went above and beyond! Our final amount was 727 acts of kindness! Today, students and staff enjoyed a pajama day, popcorn, Kool-Aid, and some relaxation as a celebration for reaching our goal and finishing our kindness challenge.
On Thursday, LES presented Mr. Finch with the money that’s been raised for him so far. The amount at this time was $831! We plan to keep our coins for a cause jar in the office at LES and continue to raise funds to assist our amazing Mr. Finch in his battle against cancer.
A big thanks go out to the rest of our morning kindness greeters this week at LES! Wednesday we had more STUCO students from LHS, Thursday we had Lincoln County police officers, and Friday we had Lincoln County nurses!
