Recent conversations with health professionals have led our district to change from the practice of keeping students home 24 hours after symptoms subside to 48 hours before returning to school. Please read the letter going home with students today. Your support is appreciated.

LES 5th grade band night will be on Monday, February 10 at 7 p.m. Students need to be here no later than 6:45. All are welcome to come and support our 5th grade band students in their musical pursuits.

LES parents and guardians, strains of Influenza have been diagnosed in both children and adults at school. A reminder if you or your child displays any of the following symptoms please seek medical attention in order to limit exposure to others. Symptoms of Influenza include sudden high fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, body aches or fatigue. If you have any medical questions, Mrs. Sheldon school nurse is available to answer your questions.

Lincoln Leopards travel to Chase on Tuesday, February 4. No JV girls game. JV boys start out the night at 5 pm playing 2 quarters. Varsity girls follow, then Varsity boys.

All LES students and staff members would like to say thank you to Mrs. Ptacek, as part of National School Counselors Week. Mrs. Ptacek works tirelessly everyday to provide for the social-emotional and academic needs of students. She is standing in front of the Families board, a project she created this year at LES. Thank you for all you do every day to make students successful.

The Lincoln JH boys placed 3rd in the PTL tournament by beating Lakeside!! Congratulations to the boys and their coaches on a great season!!

Congrats to the winner of the Lincoln County Spelling Bee LES 5th grader Gabriella Esterl who won in the 6th round by correctly spelling proximo, Gabriella will go on to represent Lincoln County at the Sunflower Spelling Bee in March, congrats to Lucas-Sylvan 5th grader Saydie Goss who fought hard for second place. LJSHS's Carissa McBride received third place. Great job to all of the spellers for their hard work and dedication.
