K. Helus and T. Burnett-Porter put in some extra work in art class this year and submitted artwork into the VFW Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest and both were awarded prizes on a local level and district level. K. Helus submitted an acrylic painting featuring a Navy anchor surrounded by yellow flower blossoms. T. Burnett-Porter submitted a 3D sculpture of an American Bald Eagle's head which also moved on to the national level where we are awaiting the verdict. Great job to these two ladies for keeping art and patriotism alive in Lincoln!
