Mr. Wolting's American History spent the last week reading Mildred Schindler Janzen's book "Surviving Hitler, Evading Stalin". Today, Mildred joined the class to discuss her personal experiences growing up in Nazi Germany, living in Soviet-controlled East Germany, and her experiences as a young American citizen trapped by war in Europe. She took time to answer many student questions about her life story. What a great way to finish the school year with living history! Thank you Mildred for sharing your remarkable story!

Biology students are dissecting frogs! Next they will take a lab practical, just like they would in a college science class.

KAY Club had a productive school year! They started their year off with Pie the Principal and used the funds raised to assemble over 150 activity kits for Children's Mercy patients. Then they put together Christmas gifts to send away for Operation Christmas Child. Spring time found the club hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt. They wrapped up the year with a food drive for our local food bank, and they will be donating over 100 items!! The number of lives they have had an impact on near and far this year is phenomenal!
