Post 1 of 1- These LES students were nominated for Leopard Leaders this week! When a student is nominated for a Leopard Leader by a staff member their picture (shown below) is displayed on the TV in our hallway for one week, they get to take a Leopard Leader paper home, and they get to ring our big hand bell on Friday when they come to Character Education class. Check out how these Leopards showed great character!

Update on the Junior High Basketball @ Lakeside, Nov 16
Games will be played at Lakeside Elementary School in Cawker City and will begin at 3:30 with 2 quarters of C Team Boys. B Girls, B Boys, A Girls and A Boys to follow with a running schedule.

Congratulations Phebe L. Representatives of the VFW Post #7928 presented Phebe with the Voice of Democracy scholarship.

LES Appreciation Friday honors our two staff members who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces: Air Force Sergeant Kim Ellis and Sergeant First Class Becky Holliday. Thank you for your service to our nation.

Happy Veterans Day to all who have served or currently serve our country. The students and staff have been bringing photos of their relatives who are service members to display in the hallway at LHS.


Jerry Pallotta, our LES guest author, is still giving back to our school!



Reminder USD 298 parents and guardians, there is no school tomorrow for PreK-12th grade students in observance of Veterans Day. Teachers will be having inservice. School will resume on Friday, November 12. Thank you.

Jerry Pallotta was our virtual guest author at LES. He has written 100 books which include the popular Who Would Win series. Students learned about where he gets his ideas and the process he goes through to write the books. All students will receive an autographed book.
