Milestones Count! Consider this number: 88,700,700. That's how many households across the United States have responded to the 2020 Census. That puts the entire country over 60% for self-responding to the Census, a key milestone reached during extraordinarily challenging times. And yay for Kansas! Our state remains in the upper tier for self-response to the Census with a 64.2% rate. (2020 Census response rate map) Here's how the state's four congressional districts compare: - 1st Congressional District - 59.7% - 2nd Congressional District - 63.7% - 3rd Congressional District - 69.7% - 4th Congressional District - 63.9% Impact in Your Community School lunches. Plans for highways. Support for schools, firefighters and families in need. Census results affect your community every day. Here's a powerful link -- Shaping Your Future -- for posting on social media and forwarding via email. This 2020Census.gov page provides a clear picture of how funding based on population counts shapes many critical aspects of every community, no matter the size, no matter the location. You will like the pertinent and timely 30-second video about helping our communities "when they come back together." Infogram Kansas is included in states resuming 2020 Census field operations. And there is that milestone we talked about!
