When a student is nominated for a Leopard Leader by a staff member their picture (shown below) is displayed on the TV in our hallway for one week, they get to take a Leopard Leader paper home, and they get to ring our big hand bell on Friday when they come to Character Education class. Check out how these students showed great character!

The homecoming ceremony at 5:45 pm will be livestreamed at the following NFHS link (if all technology works). This should not have to be a paid subscription to view this event.
The game is also livestreamed with NFHS; however, this is a paid subscription. A portion of the subscription is paid to the school. The annual subscription allows you to access Lincoln athletic events--as well as any other school that uses NFHS to livestream their events.

All students will be able to watch the Homecoming Parade as it marches past LES tomorrow. We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility. Thank you

Lincoln High School Cross Country Invitational was hosted today. Thank you to all the volunteers that came and made this event possible. Another successful event hosted by Lincoln High School. Special shout out to Coach Farris for putting the event together.

Congratulations to the LJSHS 2021-2022 National Honor Society inductees: Mia R, Isaac K, Carter R, Lilly S, Maryn S.

Attn LES parents/guardians: Please remember that the mask mandate applies to K-5 students in the building. Preschool students wear masks on USD 298 transportation only, masks for Preschool classes are optional. LES students will wear masks at all times except for at recess and during PE classes, and when learning outside during mask breaks. We encourage students to bring their own mask that fits their face, however we have enough masks for all students in the building. If your student brings their own mask please wash it frequently. Thank you for your cooperation. With your assistance we can keep students in school and learning.

The top priority of USD 298 is to keep our students and staff as safe as possible while still trying to do everything in our power to keep students in school, in person. Due to increasing cases of COVID in the junior high student population, USD 298, after consultation with the Lincoln County Health Department, will be implementing the following protocols:
6th grade students will be required to quarantine at home until Thursday, Oct. 14, beginning immediately. If no further cases develop, students will be able to return to school on the 14th.
All junior high school volleyball players, grades 6-8, will be required to quarantine at home for the same time period, returning to school on October 14.
There will be no junior high activities (practice or competition) until October 14. Junior high students will not be allowed to attend any high school activities at LJSHS.
Meals will be available for these junior high school students. A drive through meal will be provided that will include a lunch and a breakfast for the next day. A meal order MUST be placed with the LJSHS office by 9:00 am each day that a meal is needed.
Masks will be required for all students (K-12) and staff of USD 298 beginning on October 7 and this mask mandate will remain in effect until November 8. The mask mandate will be reviewed at the November board meeting.
This situation is not what any of us were hoping for, but it is a situation that we must deal with. Please help us do what we can to keep our schools open. Community and parent support is a critical part of making this plan work. We are aware that we do not all agree on many of the issues surrounding COVID, however, we can agree to disagree and move forward. Thank you in advance for your support.

LES parents/guardians, here is the link to Mrs. Ptacek's October Newsletter. Please check it out!
