Post 3 of 3- These LES students were nominated for Leopard Leaders this week! When a student is nominated for a Leopard Leader by a staff member their picture (shown below) is displayed on the TV in our hallway for one week, they get to take a Leopard Leader paper home, and they get to ring our big hand bell on Friday when they come to Character Education class. Check out how these Leopards showed great character!

LES Parents/Guardians: As cold temperatures are upon us, please remember that your student needs to dress for the weather and weather conditions everyday. Please no summer outfits or shorts on days under 60 degrees. Students go outside daily for recess. Coats, jackets, hats and gloves are all important items for your student on these days. If you need assistance with cold weather clothing please call the LES office. All calls remain confidential. Thank you for your cooperation.

LES Parents/Guardians: Thank you for your continued support in guiding your child's education. LES had a parent participation rate at Fall Parent Teacher Conferences of 98%. If you had to miss your conference time and would like to meet with your child's teacher, please call the office to make an appointment. LES also had the honor to have two USD 298 Board of Education members take time from their busy schedules to greet parents and guide them to classrooms. Thank you to Deb Zachgo and Bree McReynolds-Baetz for your assistance.

Starting Monday, November 1, 2021, USD 298 Lincoln staff and students will not be required to wear a face mask while at school. Based on the standing Federal Order students riding a bus to and from school and staff and students attending a school activity in a district vehicle or bus will still be required to wear a mask. USD 298 is still recommending masks for anyone who is not vaccinated.

Lincoln Elementary School 2021-2022 Leopard Families. Every student and staff member available is a part of a Leopard Family that meets for 30 minutes on the first Wednesday of every month- we call this Family Time. Each family has their own color, and is composed of a group leader (teacher/adult) and a mix of students kindergarten through fifth grade. The goal of our Leopard Families is to provide students with a sense of support, belonging, and community. Our hope is that these school families will boost life/social skills for our students and further improve our school climate. They are also pretty fun! A big thanks goes out to Paw Print for making all of our t-shirts!

LES K-5 students had a wonderful treat this afternoon in celebration of reading over 4,000 books this first quarter. Bestselling children's author Jerry Pallotta had a virtual visit with students. Mr. Pallotta explained the writing process, how he gets ideas for books, and allowed students to help him as he writes his next book. Students were allowed to ask questions at the end of the presentation. All students will receive an autographed book as a keepsake when they arrive. Special thanks to the USD 298 Foundation for their generous donation to LES that allows for these special projects. Also thank you to Mrs. Breneman for her organization of this once in a lifetime learning experience for students.
