LHS STUCO attended the KSHSAA Regional conference Monday.  The students had the opportunity to network and share ideas with other kids from other schools.  Kim Karr, co-founder of #ICANHELP was the keynote speaker.

Intro into Agriculture started constructing their Wheat Farm today. They learned what it would of been like before tillage equipment was available. They will next plant their wheat and watch it grow throughout the school year.

When a student is nominated for a Leopard Leader by a staff member their picture (shown below) is displayed on the TV in our hallway for one week, they get to take a Leopard Leader paper home, and they get to ring our big hand bell on Friday when they come to Character Education class. When life gives you lemons you make lemonade, today USD 298 5th and 6th graders departed for a field trip at the Airshow that had to be cancelled due to lighting and rain. Instead of coming home, the students were able to enjoy the Kansas Wetlands Education Center at Cheyenne Bottoms for activities and were able to meet a published author.

Due to circumstances with our previously scheduled game, the KSHSAA will not allow us to play the game tonight with Clifton-Clyde and therefore has been cancelled. There will be no high school football game this week.

For the safety of our students, school and community the game tonight scheduled at Palco has been cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns in Palco. However, we have scheduled a game with Clifton-Clyde tonight. The game will be at Clyde at 7:00pm.
