USD 298 Education Foundation has received a recent beef donation for the Beef to School Project from Jeremy and Jenny Abell. Thank you for your generosity of this locally raised beef! Farmers and ranchers may donate an animal to be processed for ground beef to be used in our school lunch program. Our school lunch programs are bound by specific regulations, so coordination with school personnel prior to butchering is very crucial. Beef contributors will receive a one-year pass to all USD 298 Lincoln school events for free. In order to raise funds for future processing costs, the Education Foundation has several packages of farm raised beef steaks for sale - 2 rib eye or t-bone steaks in a package for just $20! If you are interested in buying steaks or donating beef or funds towards processing, please contact the school board office at (785) 524-4436, Scott Crenshaw, Superintendent, or John Buttenhoff, USD 298 Board of Education/USD 298 Lincoln Education Foundation member.
